Installing Acquisition Agents

The installation procedures for WattMetrics residential and commercial acquisition agents differ slightly, but both follow the same basic steps.

1. Create the WattMetrics project online.

2. Establish a local Internect connection for the agent.

• See the section on local networks for more detail.

3. Install the agent.

• See the sections on residential and commercial installation for more detail.

4. Connect the agent to the data source(s).

• See the relevent sections for:

  • connecting to inverters

  • connecting to power meters

  • connecting to weather stations.
